Jenna Zusman, PsyD is currently a Psychological Associate at Inner Fokus. She received her BA in Applied Psychology and Human Development at Boston College. Jenna attended Alliant International University/ California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) in San Diego, CA, where she received her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. Jenna has worked with clients with diverse identities and concerns, including working at a psychodynamically-oriented preschool, Sharp Hospital’s Chronic Pain clinic, University of San Diego’s counseling and health & wellness centers, and long-term community mental health clinic serving the greater San Diego community. 

Areas of Interest

Dr. Zusman's clinical approach is founded on a believe that change can occur when we build insight into patterns and strengthen coping skills. She works with her clients to help them grow and create the life they have imagined for themselves. She approaches clinical care thoughtfully and strives to meet clients where they are emotionally by paying close attention to the contexts, cultural identities, and relationship dynamics in their life and in the therapeutic relationship.

At Inner Fokus, Dr. Zusman sees clients for therapy as well as facilitating Inner Fokus’s PEERS Social Skills training for children, teens and young adults. Jenna utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy, drawing upon cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness. Her specialties include: Women's health, life transitions, chronic pain, grief & loss, identity development,  relationship concerns, trauma, and college and graduate school adjustments.

In her free time, you can find Jenna spending time with her family and friends, spinning at her local studio, enjoying music at concerts, or flying off to her next international adventure!
